Cabo San Lucas • Drawing by John Ross Browne in the year 1867 or 1868 from his explorations of Lower California.

“Browne sketched the rocks of Cabo San Lucas as he saw them from the ship’s deck. Erosion over the century may have softened the contours, but artistic exaggeration is more likely.”  excerpt from Exploration in Lower California by Spencer Murphy.

Amazing Cabo San Lucas in 1952

1952-cabo1

Amazing!
From Carol S. Billups,  August 7, 2009
“Someone gave me this old photo of Cabo San Lucas taken in 1952. AMAZING!! You wouldn’t recognize it unless you look carefully at the ridgelines of the mountain in the background…. yep, that’s Pedregal. And under it you can just make out the old Catholic church that is still standing and in use on Cabo San Lucas Street. To the right is the house that is now MiCasa restaurant. The rest?”
